NEW CHARITY FOUNDATION IN PAPUA

Late in 2009, after watching a TV show about Papua, occurred in my mind to help poor children and school dropouts there. Finally after 6 months of struggling with the proposals and financial statements of the foundation, we decided to create a foundation where all the funding comes from major foundations in Denpasar. has now been almost a year running Foundation in Papua have as many as 97 children in foster care.

We help pay their school fees for children who live near the school and for children who live in remote areas, we build the a simple school building and we hired several teachers from public schools to teach there.

There is a lot of orphans, their parents died of civil war, a war between tribes. pretty sad indeed, but here's a fact of life that must live the brand, away from the glittering capital of all the luxuries there.

CHARITY FOUNDATION = A NEW LIFE, NEW HOPE AND A NEW FUTURE FOR POOR CHILDREN AND ORPHANS.

Depart from the experiences and views of the tragic fate of poor children and orphans in Bali, me and my friends agreed to create a charity which I named " Untitled Charity Foundation "
I chose this name because I have the main reasons are:
I want children remain grateful to God if what all they get now is a gift from God.

All that I and my friends give to children is our toil. Quite difficult to have to give 25% of my income each month to run the foundation where my economic level still below average.
Until now, we are caring for 196 children which is where I put them in 6 houses in Denpasar. We pay for their school and their day to day needs.
In addition to education in schools, after school we also give them extra lessons like Singing, Dancing, playing music, language courses and other extra lessons to improve their talent.
We hope that from their talent later on, they can earn a decent living after they grow up.

That makes us very proud of is two people get scholarships in the UK and one person got a scholarship in Canada. Many of them are very smart but circumstances make them unable to attend school and have to work and lose their childhood.

We expect what we do now can make a child's future so better proficiency level and not come back begging and living on the streets again.
If they have good jobs and live independently, we hope they can become members of our foundation and help other poor children.

hopefully our dream that all children in the world happy, has a bright future, to enjoy their childhood without having to work hard while they are still children

For additional income this foundation, I created a side business of helping the tourists who want to find a hotel and boat transportation to Lembongan.
From this effort I get 10% commission from the hotel and the boat and all the commission I keep in the account of the foundation.

Thanks to friends and tourists who have used my services to find rooms and boat because it indirectly, you have accounted for 10% to the foundation.

For tourists / other friends who want to contribute and help this foundation, you can recommend me to your friends, your relatives who want to vacation in Lembongan island to find rooms, villas or hotels and also the boat.

MORE THAN YOU THINK !!!!............

Janu - its short name for JANUARSA. I was born at small island south of Bali which is called Nusa Lembongan on the 1st January 1983....

One of my favourite photo shot..... Un-directed....
I spent my childhood in this village. Primary schools in the state elementary school 3 Lembongan. Secondary school (SMP N 4 Nusa Penida), and I continued high school in Badung in (SMK TOURISM MENGWITANI) and graduated in 2001.

SLTP Negeri 4 Nusa Penida
I spent many hours after school to help parents who work as a seaweed farmer. understand my family is not wealthy family. but the harmony among family members is the most important thing that makes me and my family very happy.

May 1998, I had to leave home and parents to attend school in Denpasar precisely in Badung regency

SMK Pariwisata Mengwitani

In this new place, I rented a room and have to live independently. I feel very proud to come in and go to school at SMK Tourism Mengwitani because this school is quite famous for its discipline and quality.
Because my family was not wealthy family, so to get pocket money I decided to work half-time as a housekeeper and nanny. Pretty embarrassing really but I still run it because there are no remittances from parents like other children.

Around 2001, I had the opportunity to follow a program of Youth International where I met many young people from 22 countries and our culture of mutual learning from each participating country.
Quite proud of it feels ....

During the program, I see many children who never attended school due to economic factors. many children who have to work hard to eat, busking on the streets, begging and lose their childhood. very sad .... very unfair ....
I thank the Lord because it is more fortunate than them.

Before the program ended, I had the idea to create a non-profit charitable foundation to help children who are disadvantaged, orphaned and homeless.
Thank God my ideas accepted and all the friends in the program would help to realize the non-profit charitable foundation.
For the initial donation, we sell crafts that we have made and the results of these advantages we hold.
I remember the hard times early this foundation running. Sometimes me and my friends borrow money from parents to cover expenses.

Me and my friends agreed and promised, if we get a decent job then we will donate 25% of our salary to the foundation.
